Lincoln, Family Man by Mort Kunstler
Although he was a well paid Illinois attorney when he ran for president, Abraham Lincoln had been born in backwoods poverty. Perhaps remembering his deprived boyhood, Lincoln was an indulgent husband and father. In the White House, Mrs. Lincoln enjoyed an extensive wardrobe and the Lincoln boys were free to romp and roam.
