Hidden Treasures by Paul Steucke
Description
Limited edition fine art print on premium paper.
"Treasures from the past reveal the history of those who defended freedom and served their nation. They are inspiring reminders that become beacons for the future. Such moments can set the course for a lifetime of leadership - duty, honor, country. Samantha Shepard, age 6, reviews an old copy of the Military Academy yearbook while Philip Bradford, age 6, dreams about marching across the plain. Cassie (Albina) the beagle thinks it is all pretty dull as there are no pictures of dogs. This particular attic full of reminders is at Lee Road on the U.S. Army Military Academy at West Point, N.Y. I am indebted to the West Point Women's Club for suggesting the theme and for providing the models and the mementos that became hidden treasures. I appreciate the generous use of Cindy and Lt. Col. Donald Endgen's attic, and the generous loan of artifacts provided by numerous members of the Women's club. Samantha's mother, Jennie, and Phillip's mother, Anne, were instrumental in the coaching of the models. When all else fails use a chocolate drop."
