Roger is a fine artist, photographer, and custom leather craftsman.
He is a proud U.S. Army Gulf War Era Veteran who served as an infantry soldier, engineer, and Army illustrator.
As a fine artist, he works primarily with acrylic paints, oils, watercolor, and airbrush. He is best known for paintings depicting historical U.S. Military units, including the “Buffalo Soldiers,” the “Tuskegee Airmen,” and, the black and brown, all women battalion, the “Six Triple Eight,” and units engaged in the Korean, Persian, Gulf and Bosnian Wars.
As a member of the Army Artist Team, he created original art that was added to the U.S. Army’s Center of Military History collection and the U.S. National Archives in Washington D.C.
Over the past 40 years, Roger’s art has been shown in juried art shows and exhibitions in Germany, France, South Korea and the United States.
His works are found in private and public collections across the U.S., Germany, and South Korea.
Roger’s art is as diverse as he is, from beautiful floras to powerful, emotion-filled jazz artists to portraits of key historical figures and everyday people.
He has a unique way of capturing life in motion and uses his artistic expression as a storyteller who shares the journeys of those that came before, those still writing their own stories and of the beauty of life all around us.
