"... The Long Gray Line has never failed us.  Were you to do so, a million ghosts in olive drab, in brown khaki, in blue and gray, would rise from their white crosses thundering those magic words - Duty-Honor-Country..." - General Douglas MacArthur, May 12, 1962

The familiar words were spoken by General Douglas MacArthur to the Corps of Cadets in Washington Hall at the Military Academy at West Point, NY on May 12, 1962 during his acceptance speech for the Sylvanus Thayer Award.  The now famous address was captured for the ages when Cadet 1st Captain James Ellis had the foresight to record the speech, knowing that there was no actual transcript in existence.

This limited edition print, by artist Paul Steucke, depicts a panoramic view of General MacArthur addressing the Corps while ghost images "...in olive drab, in brown khaki, in blue and gray..." listen in.

This print, published in 1993, is the 5th in a series of signed and numbered limited edition lithographs on the Military Academy at West Point, NY, published by Vladimir Arts U.S.A., Inc.

    Also included with the print:

    - Audio tape produced by the General MacArthur Foundation

    - Transcript of the famous speech, suitable for framing
